Melinda Alhassan was born into the family of Late Mr. Gayus and Mrs. Maryatu Alhassan Kyari of Banganje Community, Billiri LGA, Gombe State. She obtained her LL.B (Hons) — Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the prestigious Igbinedion University, where she built a solid academic foundation in law. Her undergraduate legal education equipped her with the knowledge, skills and analytical thinking necessary for a successful career in law.
Following the completion of her undergraduate legal education, she proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, where she undertook the professional training programme required for admission to the Nigerian Bar. Upon successful completion of her studies, she was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2018, marking the formal beginning of her distinguished legal career. She is currently based in Abuja, where she has established herself as a competent and versatile legal practitioner.
Since her call to Bar, she has developed expertise in corporate, property and human rights law, garnering considerable experience in advising and representing clients across these practice areas. She is an excellent communicator and researcher, bringing precision, thoroughness and dedication to every matter she handles. She remains deeply committed to contributing effectively to international legal practice and continues to distinguish herself as a dynamic and dependable legal professional.
